OK. It went on too long before getting to the crux of the story.

very good. Human fraility, regret, disillusionment with those we trust, forgiveness.

Loved this. In a world of suffering and cruelty, I like the idea that pure intentions and honesty can sometimes win the day. I am not a car racing fan but I liked how the narrator drew parallels between his owner's approach toward life and his profession of racing. Manifest your destiny...that's a concept I'm still chewing on!

Listened to this in the car on a long trip. Another example by this author of getting special insight into your life that you longed to have while you were living it. Interesting concept that the veil of denial, narrow perspectives and self-centeredness could be lifted as our physical lives hang by a thread.

loved the characters, who became like friends you feel compelled to root for. I slowed down reading in the last third of the book because I didn't want it to end. Art imitating life.

liked it. Very sensitive portrayal of a woman with early onset Alzheimer's, from her own point of view. Alice asks the question, is love in my heart or in my head. I would like to believe that even when all else is lost, love remains intact.

Engaging story. Most of us would like to think that our lives will be explained to us when we get to heaven. Understanding why things happen is an intriguing concept.
